While he is recognized as a preacher, he also has the responsibilities as State Minister of Music of Eastern Missouri First Jurisdiction, Vice President of the Midwest Area Music Department, Church of God in Christ and recently appointed as Vice President of the International Music Department of the Church of God in Christ. Elder Madison also finds time to remain extremely active on a local level where he is a member of Kennerly Temple Church of God in Christ serving as Assistant Pastor to the pastor, Bishop R.J. Ward. To each area of his ministry, he has certainly brought the excellence of performance that has been his hallmark.

Elder Madison served as the Music Coordinator in 1982 and later received his appointment as State Minister of Music in 1983, under the leadership of the late Bishop W.E.Turner. He has continued his loyal service under the present leadership of Bishop Robert J. Ward, Jurisdictional Prelate of Eastern Missouri First Jurisdiction, who reappointed him in 1984. In 1994, he received the appointment as Administrative Assistant & Director of Finance in the National Music Department (COGIC) under the leadership of Evangelist LuVonia Whittley, National President. In 2000, he was reappointed to both positions by the newly appointed Prof. Iris Stevenson, International President. In January 2009, Dr. Judith McAllister appointed Eld. Madison to the high office of Vice President to continue his service within the International Music Department. Elder Madison has labored untiringly for years in the gospel music arena both locally and nationally. He gave considerable attention to the late Dr. Mattie Moss Clark who was the National President of the Music Department, International, for 25 years. He served in many capacities under her administration. Elder Madison devoted a great amount of energy and time to the ministry of music during her reign as “Queen of Gospel Music”. This was a period of nurturing and training that is deeply instilled into the soul, spirit and body of Elder Madison.

Elder Madison is a much sought after and nationally known Gospel speaker, teacher, and preacher. Eld. Madison is known as one of the hardest workingmen in the field of ‘Gospel Ministering’ today. Eld. Madison walks it, talks it, preaches it, believes it and also lives it. His wealth of experience, hard work, and commitment to excellence has resulted in a Godly lifestyle that will stand the test of time.

Elder Madison fulfills the Biblical pronouncement that “your gift will make room for you and bring you before great men.” Standing at the pinnacle of achievement, he remains humble, reserved and somewhat embarrassed by the attention being showered on him. Yet, he must remain ready and willing to receive the blessings of the Lord, thereby enabling the givers to sow seeds for their future harvest. Ironically, his harvest is another's sown seed and that seed sown on his behalf becomes the others harvest.

Elder Madison has received numerous awards and honors during his life span.
