Dr. Valerie Daniels-Carter is the trailblazing Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of V&J Holding Companies, Inc. In 1982 she forged a pivotal and life altering partnership with her brother, the renowned legal maven Attorney John Daniels. Together they launched V & J Foods and planted a single Burger King restaurant within the demure confines of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Through focused determination, singular purpose, and sheer entrepreneurial aptitude; she scaled her portfolio into an impressive 137-unit, multi-brand empire within sixteen laconic years. Dr. Daniels-Carter is an unapologetically God fearing woman who pointedly credits her meteoric ascension, enduring sustainability, and prudent wisdom to adhering to unimpeachable Canonical standards. She cloaks herself daily with an exacting tapestry of integrity, accountability, responsibility, respect, distinction and passion. She fuses traditional business savvy with unconventional inventiveness to create a vivacious and fluid corporate environment. Dr. Daniels-Carter obtained her foundational and cerebral inspiration, which ultimately sparked her successful career, from Lincoln University where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. She later matriculated along the educational path of enlightenment by earning a Master’s of Science degree in Management and was conferred a Doctorate of Humane Letters (L.H.D) from Cardinal Stritch University.

 

Valerie Daniels-Carter is one of the most preeminent business owners in the United States. In addition to auspiciously commandeering two of the largest fast-food brand operations in the United States, she has been widely recognized for her adroit business ingenuity. As such, she has been befittingly appointed to a dizzying array of financial and corporate boards. She has also chaired a cluster of boards spanning a multifarious arc of civic, corporate and non-profit organizations. She is consistently recognized as the largest female franchisee in the country – an achievement that bespeaks to her unyielding belief and connection to God coupled with her rare commitment to honesty and hard work.

 

Essence Magazine named her as one of the 50 most admired African-Americans in the United States, joining a mythical sanctum of such luminaries as Oprah Winfrey and Colin Powell. Also, V & J has received an enviable cluster of awards such as the Top 500 Women-Owned Businesses (Working Woman Magazine); Top 200 Restaurants in the U.S. (Restaurant Finance Monitor); and an incalculable amount of other accolades and honors— both locally and nationally. In addition to being featured in several national magazines and publications, Dr. Daniels-Carter continues to apportion her time between a bevy of philanthropic causes, corporate motivational speaking engagements and corporate board undertakings. As life involves a kaleidoscope of experiences and focuses, Dr. Daniels-Carter prioritizes and balances her commitments as a loving mother and co-laborer for her church and community. Her entrepreneurial aptitude inspired her to author “Your Business Is His Business” and “Anointed Offering or Tainted Sacrifice”. Valerie Daniels-Carter began learning to play musical instruments at the age of 5. Her musical ability was extended as she began directing her church choir. She is a songwriter and conductor who has shared her musical skills with The Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra as well as notable national recording artist. While attending college, she was appointed State Minister of Music for Wisconsin First Jurisdiction. She serves the church locally, jurisdictionally and nationally in an array of capacities. Because of her commitment to Christ and His church, Valerie Daniels- Carter was appointed Supervisor of Kenya East First Jurisdiction.
